About the role

This position operates industrial equipment to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials in a distribution center or storage yard. The schedule for this role is Saturday-Monday, 5:00 AM-5:30 PM, with a pay rate of $20.50/hour plus a $3.00 shift differential.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using powered industrial equipment
• Maintain equipment and materials in a neat, clean and orderly fashion
• Inspect assigned equipment daily and operate it in a safe and efficient manner
• Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations
• Efficiently stack and store product in the appropriate areas
• Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring the exact number and types of products are loaded and shipped
• Move product from staging and/or storage areas into rail cars, trailers, or containers
• Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage
• Report quality variances and keep appropriate records and reports
• Assist in physical inventories and ensure proper stock rotation
• Follow customer requirements and/or other instructions to ensure accuracy and safety
• Coordinate with other departments/functions as necessary
• Perform good housekeeping practices and conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Three or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to successfully complete post-hire assessments
• Ability to obtain and maintain equipment certifications (e.g. OSHA, company, etc.)
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment appropriate for the work environment
