MGR STERILE PROCESSING

About the role

This position provides administrative direction to the supervisor and other clinical support staff in the sterile processing department. The incumbent is responsible for providing leadership regarding all facets of sterile processing and accountable for the initiation and completion of operational plans that ensure quality while utilizing available resources efficiently.

The incumbent ensures that the departmental operations are in alignment with Moffitt Cancer Center's mission, vision, values and excellence goals. This position requires a sound knowledge of sterile processes and exceptional leadership abilities. To be knowledgeable of current trends and developments in the field of Clinical Sterile Processes.

Responsibilities

• Absorbs 24-hour responsibility and accountability for the overall management of the department.
• Provides administrative direction to the supervisor and other clinical support staff in the sterile processing department.
• Ensures that the departmental operations are in alignment with Moffitt Cancer Center's mission, vision, values and excellence goals.
• Requires a sound knowledge of sterile processes and exceptional leadership abilities.
• To be knowledgeable of current trends and developments in the field of Clinical Sterile Processes.

Requirements

• Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's Degree
• Preferred Education Level: Master's Degree
• Licensure Certification Needed: None
• Experience: Requires 5+ years of relevant experience in sterile processing or related field.
• Training Required: Excellent presentation skills to small & large group environment preferred.
• Experience with CQI Process Improvement applications.
• Strong coaching and/or mentoring skills.
• Demonstrated skills in personnel management.
• Requires in-depth knowledge of state and national regulatory agency guidelines.
• Requires the ability to lead quality improvement initiatives.
• Requires the ability to build effective working relationships with physicians.

Pay

$100,140.04 - $150,363.20
