About the role

Aflac is seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a Disability Claims Reviewer. This role is a remote position within the continental US.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a first level resource for customer complaints and escalates issues to upper leadership.
• Oversees the day-to-day operations of the team, monitoring tasking volume, urgency, and timeliness.
• Assists in resolution and troubleshooting within the team.
• Makes recommendations based on production report data to support the department’s effectiveness.
• Manages relationships with customers and area of responsibility, leading and participating in risk assessments.
• Develops business with existing customers and initiates resource opportunities.
• Collates and analyzes production report data, communicates with staff, and provides feedback for improvement.
• Trains team members on specialized expertise and presents training as requested.
• Manages own personal development and encourages others to do the same, ensuring a healthy work environment.
• Visits clients for new account implementation and maintenance of existing accounts upon management’s request.

Requirements

• In-depth clinical, vocational, behavioral health, Social Work, and/or ADA experience/knowledge.
• Strong investigative and analytical skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to analyze documentation in the context of functional capacity/abilities.
• Knowledge of working in a team environment.
• Pass applicable certification and licensing continuing education and maintain active license and/or certification, as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in nursing, healthcare, or a related field.
• Certification in Active and Unrestricted Licensure/Certification in one or more of the following: Professional Registered Nurse, Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), ADA/HR Certification, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor.
• 3 or more years of job-specific experience in Vocational Rehabilitation, Clinical, ADA, Social Work, and/or Behavioral Health.
• 4 years of supervisory, managerial, or leadership experience.
• 4 years of disability and absence relevant industry experience.

Pay

The salary range for this job is $100,000 - $125,000. This range is specific to the job and salary offers consider a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and peer compensation.
