Summary
Manages the department's daily operations to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectives.
Responsibilities
- Aids in developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
- Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management.
- Performs and oversees scheduling, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements.
- Maintains departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations.
- Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.
- Affirms the quality of patient care delivered and coordinates patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments.
- Promotes a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous quality improvement.
- May provide patient care when necessary.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
- ARRT registered Radiologic Technologist (R)
- ARRT registered in Computed Tomography (CT)
- Active state radiologic technologist license (if applicable)
- BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
- CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- Preferred Bachelor's degree
- Prior CT supervisory or lead technologist experience
- Experience supporting ACR CT accreditation and regulatory inspections
- Advanced modality experience (e.g., PET/CT, trauma CT, ED CT)
- Minimum 5 years of CT clinical experience
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory or lead technologist experience in CT or imaging services
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong knowledge of CT imaging practices, radiation safety, and regulatory standards
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and change-management skills
- Effective collaboration with physicians, leaders, and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
