MGR PROTECTION & CONTROL ENGINEERING

DIRECT ENGINEERING FOR MAJOR SUBSTATION CAPITAL PROJECTS

• Oversee conceptual design, relay and protection strategies, consultant reviews, engineering, and constructability reviews for high-value substation projects.
• Review and approve engineering deliverables, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with codes and standards.
• Provide technical guidance on protection and control engineering design, material selection, and system integration.

LEAD, DEVELOP & MENTOR PROTECTION & CONTROL ENGINEERING TEAM

• Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and performance management for engineers and technical staff.
• Build team capabilities through training, technical development, and succession planning.
• Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and high-quality engineering execution.

DRIVE CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION THROUGHOUT PROJECT

• Cook up close with project management, planning, operations and construction teams to ensure project engineering readiness.
• Support procurement activities, including technical evaluations.
• Represent engineering in project meetings and stakeholder reviews.

PROVIDE ENGINEERING SUPPORT DURING CONSTRUCTION

• Partner with field personnel and external consultants to resolve design issues during construction, respond to RFIs, and ensure engineering intent is maintained.
• Participate in site visits, inspections, and commissioning activities as needed.
• Ensure construction support activities uphold safety, quality, and compliance expectations.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an EAC/ABET accredited university or college + 8 years experience required.
• PE license required.

Compensation Information:

• $130,080 - $162,580 (min. - mid.)
