Responsibilities
- Review data and drawings to determine material and labor requirements and prepare itemized lists of cost estimates.
- Evaluate multiple proposals for multiple trades to formulate bid analysis in determining the subcontractors who have the cost & scope covered, for proposal efforts and awarding subcontracts.
- Compute cost factors and prepare estimates used for planning, organizing, and scheduling work, preparing bids, change order pricing, vendor or subcontractor agreements, and determining cost effectiveness.
- Conduct special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or effect cost reductions.
- Develop and deliver presentations internally and externally with customers.
- Demonstrate total understanding of all divisions of work and extract required information from customers to develop a “Request for Proposal.”
- Provide conceptual estimates and project scope from limited customer information within 24 hours.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or minimum five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic computer skills, including the ability to utilize word processing, spreadsheet, and email applications.
- Ability to use software applications specific to the estimating field.

- While performing the duties of this position, the team member is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands or arms, and talk or hear.
- May occasionally be required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision.
- Generally, works in a normal office environment where noise level is moderate and temperature/humidity is controlled.
- Overtime may be required.
Pay
A reasonable estimate of the current range is $110,000 to $160,000 annually. The wage range for this role takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, certifications, as well as other business and organizational needs.
