About the Role
The Manager of Business Development partners with the Hospital Financial Officer to create and implement business development processes for Baylor Scott & White Health, focusing on adding or growing programs in new or existing markets. This role involves researching, assessing, and developing business cases and plans for new programs, services, or projects, as well as establishing and maintaining relationships with Senior Management, Department Directors, and Physicians to promote involvement in strategic initiatives.
This position is based in Temple, TX, with a requirement to travel to the Waco facility once per week (mileage reimbursement included).
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Planning and Marketing Development on new programs and services, developing focused, effective plans that align with the hospital’s strategic goals.
- Create and direct a well-organized approach for new business and service development initiatives.
- Assist Senior Management in implementing strategies for new business development and joint ventures.
- Coordinate data collection, compilation, and analysis to support management outcomes.
- Identify improvement opportunities during program and service line reviews and recommend process improvements for evaluating services or increasing awareness.
- Gather and measure relevant benchmarking data to evaluate the effectiveness of current or future services and programs.
- Develop financial reviews, evaluate findings, and write business plans for presentation to the Senior Administrative Team.
- Manage the progress of new business strategies and goals set by the Senior Administrative Team once established.
- Work with the Director of Marketing to gather healthcare market intelligence for strategy development and to promote awareness of hospital programs and services among physicians.
- Serve as the internal contact for staff, physicians, and others regarding ongoing development and implementation of strategic initiatives and programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification
- 3 years of relevant experience
