About the Role
The Fulton County Board of Health is seeking a highly qualified candidate for the position of Mgr 3, Hlth Care/HIV Prevention Manager within the Medical and Preventive Services division. This is a HIV Prevention Grant position.
Responsibilities
- Directs and provides assistance to plan, organize, direct and coordinate the delivery of health services.
- Provides assistance to develop and implement related policies and procedures.
- Monitors and evaluates healthcare programs.
- Directs subordinate managers and staff.
- Coordinates HIV prevention deliverables, work plans, initiatives and outreach activities within the community - including community-based organizations (CBOs).
- Ensures effective delivery of prevention strategies aligned with grant requirements, including narrative and budget reporting.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in health care services or related field from an accredited college or university and four (4) years of professional managerial or supervisory experience in health care services; or two (2) years of experience at the lower level Mgr 2, Hlth Care (HCM011) or position equivalent.
- Note: Some positions may require certification and/or licensure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Social Work, or a related field and a master's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Five (5) or more years of progressive experience managing HIV prevention, care, or public health programs.
- At least three (3) years of supervisory experience managing multidisciplinary teams.

Situational Reasoning: Requires the ability to exercise judgment, decisiveness, and creativity in critical and/or unexpected situations involving moderate risk to the organization.
