About the Role
Southcoast Health is searching for a talented MFM Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford, MA. This full-time position offers a $10,000 new hire sign-on bonus (rehires termed more than 1 year also eligible).
Schedule & Location
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Shift: Day shift, 8:00am - 4:30pm
- Location: St. Luke's Hospital - New Bedford, MA
Responsibilities
- Perform diversified clinical patient care, technical and related duties within assigned modality as part of an interdisciplinary care team
- Assume responsibility for each assigned patient, perform patient assessments, and correlate clinical findings with exam/procedure request
- Obtain pertinent information from patient's chart and document all data within the EHR
- Educate patient for exam
- Position patient and select appropriate imaging equipment and supplies
- Identify, prepare and/or administer pharmaceuticals related to the exam/procedure
- Select technical factors/parameters/sequences to produce quality images
- Properly identify anatomy and evaluate images for technical quality
- Assist physicians in performing procedures
Qualifications
- Successful completion of an accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
- Attainment of certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers in OBGYN
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Maternal Fetal Medicine required
- NT (Nuchal translucency) certification required within 6 months
- Registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) required within 6 months
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID-19 virus or be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired
Pay
Pay range: USD $42.84 - USD $64.28 per hour (pay rate determined based on level of experience).
