About the role

The Kinship Specialist will conduct kinship caregiver orientations and a 12-hour training curriculum for families in the certification process. They will also complete home inspections, home studies/psychosocial evaluations, and gather all necessary documentation for certification of kinship homes.

Responsibilities

  • Supports kinship families for 90 days post-certification through access to information and resources, phone calls, and in-person visits as needed.
  • Conducts home inspections and completes home study/psychosocial evaluations.
  • Collects all required documentation for kinship home certification.
  • Provides ongoing support to kinship families.
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and be computer proficient.
  • Must be willing to travel throughout the state for recruiting functions.

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services with at least two years of related experience.

Pay

Salary is as provided for in the agency's current Annual Budget.

Schedule

Time on Duty will be arranged to best accomplish the work to be done.
