About the role
The main responsibility of the position is to serve as a managing editor or co-managing editor of Inkwell, the MFA Program's literary magazine. This role involves managing all aspects of the magazine.
Responsibilities
- Managing submissions
- Soliciting submissions from established writers
- Making editorial decisions
- Interacting with accepted authors
- Collating the issue for copy-editing
- Copy-editing the issue
- Assisting in the design of the issue
Requirements
- Enrolled in the MFA Creative Writing graduate program at Manhattanville
- Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills
- Ability to multi-task and be detail-oriented
- Previous experience working on a literary publication is preferred but not required
Pay
This position offers a 3-credit tuition waiver per semester (6 credits total for fall and spring) to be used for classes in the MFA in Creative Writing Program.
Schedule
Part-time, 29 hours or less per week.
