About the role

Unclaimed Baggage is a unique retailer and repurposer of lost luggage, attracting over a million visitors annually. This family-owned business operates a 50,000 square foot retail store in Scottsboro, Alabama, selling a wide variety of unique items from around the world at great prices. The company also supports charitable causes through its Reclaimed for Good foundation.

Responsibilities

• Interact with guests to ensure they have an exceptional shopping experience
• Learn about guests' electronics wants, interests, and needs
• Help guests locate items and provide technical information about electronic devices
• Keep merchandise organized and showcase areas clean and dusted
• Stock merchandise accurately and promptly
• Operate the cash register and maintain neat cash wrap and showcase areas
• Report suspicious activity or shoplifting to Asset Protection Manager
• Perform other tasks assigned by management

Requirements

• Light to moderate lifting required
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods
• Repetitive motion required

Qualifications

• Strong emphasis on developing product knowledge
• Exceptional guest service skills
• Basic understanding of electronic technology and devices (desirable, but not necessary)
