Metrology Lab Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform measurements on plastic components and products using metrology equipment and established procedures.
• Record, organize, and maintain measurement data accurately.
• Follow laboratory procedures, work instructions, and quality standards.
• Absorb and handle samples according to established protocols.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
• Communicate measurement results and observations to team members and stakeholders.
• Support additional laboratory activities as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and established procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good problem-solving skills and a practical/common-sense approach to work.
• Basic computer skills, including data entry and documentation.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a laboratory, manufacturing, quality, inspection, or metrology environment is preferred.
• Experience using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, optical measurement systems, or similar equipment.
• Familiarity with handling and inspecting plastic components.

Pay and Schedule

• The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
• This is a Contract position based out of Jacksonville, FL.
• Work hours are Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
