Metering Project Engineer- E&C
Opportunity Overview
Senior Metering Project Engineer- E&C position base in Florida. Opportunities available in West Palm Beach, FL and Daytona/Sanford FL with a hybrid schedule. Remote work with travel requirements of ~10%. This is a 1-year contract assignment (W-2).
Your Day-to-Day
- Provide engineering design support
- Track and reports on project contractual execution and design progress
- Deliver company standards, policies, and support of organization
- Create communications, presentations, and provide support at meetings
- Develop research and improve measures
- Work with other departments to establish customer requirements
- Work extended hours
Who You Are
- Bachelor's – Engineering
- Experience: 15+ years in relevant P&C/Substation/Metering Engineering experience, and Project Management
- Typical metering experience includes an ability to read protection and control drawings
- Understanding of instrument transformers includes knowledge of type, accuracy, and burden (CT, PTs, CVTs)
- Familiarity with loss compensation methods for transformers, including iron (Fe) and copper (Cu) losses, is important
- This includes generator tie line loss compensation and sharing losses amongst different technologies or PPA customers
- The ability to program meters or create metering templates is important

About the Role
We are committed to transparency and equity in all our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $65.00/hr. to $70.00/hr.
Qualifications
- Experience: 15+ years in relevant P&C/Substation/Metering Engineering experience, and Project Management
- Typical metering experience includes an ability to read protection and control drawings

Skills
- Knowledge of overall substation design
- Knowledge of complex metering systems
- Experience with Schneider Electric ION-8650 meters
- Familiarity with loss compensation methods for transformers, including iron (Fe) and copper (Cu) losses
- Ability to program meters or create metering templates
