Meter Maintenance Technician $23.00/hr Orem, Utah

ELM Utility Services, a nationwide team of more than 1,700 employees, is seeking a Meter Maintenance Technician in the Orem, Utah area. This role offers the opportunity to work independently, stay active outdoors, and take pride in high-quality work.

Responsibilities

• Work independently in the field using your company vehicle as a mobile office
• Complete assigned routes and service requests each day
• Inspect meter sets and perform maintenance, including corrosion removal and repainting
• Manage your time efficiently to stay on schedule and meet quality standards
• Adapt to changing conditions and handle challenges as they arise

Requirements

• Ability to walk up to 5 miles per day in all weather conditions
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and bend, stoop, kneel, and crawl as needed
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Flexibility and a positive attitude in changing work environments

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Availability for weekend on-call duty, as needed
• Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings
• Must be able to work on-call rotation and overtime as needed. This may include working on nights and weekends when necessary.

Skills

• Knowledge of underground utility construction and the local geographic area
• Computer skills and experience using GPS or mapping systems
• Ability to read and interpret maps
• Experience with delivery or route-based driving in a quota-driven environment
