Metals Manufacturing Engineer (Nitinol)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Metals Manufacturing Engineer to support New Product Development (NPD) and pre-commercial manufacturing within a medical device environment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in metals manufacturing, process development, optimization, troubleshooting, and scale-up, with a strong preference for direct Nitinol manufacturing experience.

Location: Utah (Onsite). Duration: 12 Months. Schedule: 40 Hours/Week, 1st Shift.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and implement manufacturing processes for Nitinol and other metal-based medical devices.
• Provide hands-on technical support for manufacturing troubleshooting and process improvements.
• Support NPD, process transfer, scale-up, and pre-commercial manufacturing activities.
• Analyze process data and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve quality and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Medical device manufacturing and process engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on metals manufacturing and process development experience.
• Direct Nitinol manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with cardiovascular/stent, orthopedic, or neurovascular devices is highly desirable.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and process optimization skills.
