A manufacturer opening a new facility in New Castle, PA is hiring a Corporate Metallurgist to lead product development for high performance alloys, with a focus on managing products through the full lifecycle. Relocation assistance is offered, and compensation can flex for the right candidate.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Metallurgical Engineering, or Materials Science; advanced degree a plus
• 8 to 10 years of hands-on experience with high performance alloys (nickel, cobalt, or titanium) in a manufacturing setting
• Nickel-based superalloy development experience strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of ASTM, NADCAP, and AS9100 standards
• Ability to travel regularly to facilities across the US

Responsibilities

• Lead development of metallurgical processes aligned with customer specifications and quality standards
• Analyze customer requirements to design new products from concept through end of lifecycle
• Provide technical support for metallurgical challenges
• Test and analyze alloy properties for mechanical, thermal, and corrosion performance
• Investigate non-conformance and test failures for root cause
• Prepare technical documentation
• Stay ahead of emerging materials technology

Pay

$102,000 to $150,000 a year, with flexibility for the right candidate
