Internship Assignment Details
- Full Time – Summer 2027
- Start date: 05/17/2027
Project Focus
Steel cleanness evaluations centered around furnace slag carry over, refiner slag development, tundish slags and powders. Evaluating impacts to product caused by new equipment, refractory, or practices. Additional project limiting rework operations like focusing on bloom surface quality.
Qualifications
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
- Must have completed 30 or more credit hours by the end of the spring 2027 semester
- Must be a full-time student attending an accredited two-year or four-year college/university
- Preferred majors: Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, or related
- Statistical analysis skills
