About the role
Drive commercial growth within the Metals sector by executing a value-led sales strategy, deepening market expertise, and cultivating strong client relationships. Act as a specialist who positions Argus services effectively, executes on market opportunities, and contributes to roadmap development through client insight.
Responsibilities
- Develop pipeline within the assigned metals sector across the Americas.
- Consistently meet and exceed agreed sales growth targets within the designated territory and sector.
- Lead the development and execution of sector-specific sales strategies to drive revenue growth and position Argus Metals services effectively throughout the sales cycle.
- Develop deep knowledge of Argus Metals services, stay informed on service enhancements, and maintain strong awareness of market trends and competitor activity.
- Collaborate with Account Managers, Product Management, Client Success, and Marketing to drive coordinated commercial initiatives and support roadmap development.
- Build rapport and trust with clients, address needs proactively, and present solutions clearly.
- Own the sales performance for an assigned sector/geography.
- Manage independently the sales process from prospecting to proposal.
- Provide structured client feedback to inform product evolution.
- Act as a Sales champion for internal and external stakeholders.
- Deliver on agreed sector-specific sales strategies.
- Partner with Account Managers and Client Success Managers (non-exclusive) to ensure a seamless client experience.
- Work closely with Product Managers to relay client insights and inform roadmap decisions.
- Align Marketing on messaging for campaigns, content, and target audience for sector-specific demand generation.
Requirements
- Experience in commodity markets, ideally within Metals.
- 5–10 years of successful B2B data/information sales delivering complex solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to develop trust-based client and internal relationships with stakeholders.
- Skilled at identifying and resolving client challenges.
- Understanding of Argus products and ability to contribute insight to product development.
- Ability to analyze data, spot trends, and drive performance decisions.
