Metal Printing Technician
About the role
We are looking for entry-level team members to join our growing Metal Printing manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating advanced metal additive manufacturing systems and software to ensure dental products are fabricated at the highest quality standards while meeting customer delivery deadlines. You’ll work directly with metal print workflows including build preparation, machine operation, print monitoring, and quality inspection. This role requires strong attention to detail, technical precision, and comfort working with digital manufacturing tools in a fast-paced production environment. What You’ll Do
- Operate Quickly
- Directly operate metal printing software and equipment to prepare, orient, nest, and support dental products (e.g., crowns, bridges, implant bars, frameworks) in a fast-paced production environment.
- Execute Builds
- Launch and monitor metal print jobs, verify machine readiness, and ensure successful build completion according to established workflows and production timelines.
- Drive Improvements
- Serve as a key operator with firsthand insights into workflow, machine performance, and production capacity improvement opportunities that help drive throughput and product quality.
- Problem Solve
- Roll up your sleeves to quickly troubleshoot process, equipment, software, and print-related issues while operating within a high-volume dental manufacturing environment.
- Maintain Quality Standards
- Uphold strict manufacturing and print quality standards including build preparation protocols, machine operating procedures, powder handling processes, and inspection requirements.
- Collaborate
- Partner closely with team members across production, design, and quality teams to quickly identify and resolve workflow bottlenecks.
- Support Equipment Readiness
- Assist with machine cleaning, routine maintenance, powder handling, and workspace organization to ensure safe and efficient production operations.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 0–2+ years of experience in a fast-paced production or manufacturing environment
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- High comfort level with digital tools, software systems, and technology
- Mechanical curiosity and interest in advanced manufacturing technologies
- Passion for problem solving and breaking challenges into manageable steps
- Strong self-motivation and ability to prioritize effectively
- Team-player mentality and willingness to support others
- Ability to learn new tools, workflows, and technical concepts quickly
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Experience working in a dental lab
- Exposure to additive manufacturing, 3D printing, CNC machining, or technical production equipment
- Experience working with digital manufacturing software
