About the role
Join our team as a Messaging Engineer and support the evolution of Primerica’s enterprise messaging platforms, including Exchange Online, Zimbra, and potential new email solutions. This role is pivotal in evaluating and transitioning to new platforms, collaborating with vendors to ensure seamless migration and operational readiness.

Responsibilities
- Support implementation and configuration of email platforms.
- Participate in vendor evaluations and proof-of-concept (POC) for potential replacements of the current environment.
- Engage in migration activities, including testing and validation.
- Manage Exchange Online, Zimbra, and new environments.
- Configure email security and identity integration with Active Directory, Azure AD, and E-Directory.
- Provide escalation support for complex issues.
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
- Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain documentation and procedures.
- Work with cybersecurity teams to assess vulnerabilities, prioritize remediation, and ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and cross-functional teams.
- Stay updated on emerging vulnerabilities, industry best practices, and new technologies to enhance the patch management program.
Requirements
- 5–8+ years of experience with enterprise messaging platforms.
- Experience in email migrations.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Exchange (On-Prem and/or Online).
- In-depth knowledge of email routing and security.
- Experience with SPAM, auditing, eDiscovery, and email DLP rules and policies, including troubleshooting and tuning.
- Experience with Active Directory or Azure AD.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong analytical skills to identify patterns and trends in email system performance.
- Knowledge of the Zoom Platform is a plus.
Pay
The salary range for this role is $120,000 – $130,000.
Schedule
This is a hybrid role requiring 2 days onsite and 3 days remote.
