About the role
We are seeking an experienced MeSH Developer who is local to the DMV area and holds U.S. citizenship or a Green Card. This role requires a strong programmer with at least five years of application or systems development experience.
Responsibilities
- Work within large, complex codebases across the full technology stack.
- Complete assignments independently with minimal supervision.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to support shared goals and successful project delivery.
- Continuously expand technical expertise and stay current with emerging technologies.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of procedural and object-oriented programming and common design patterns.
- Experience with web development technologies, including semantic HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, DOM, Model/View/Controller (or similar), REST, JSON, and related server-side technologies (NodeJS, ExpressJS, NPM).
- Extensive experience with the Angular framework.
- Familiarity with functional and event-driven programming concepts (callbacks, promises/futures, streaming, and reactive programming).
- Experience coding algorithms to process complex data structures (e.g., multi-level combinations of objects, lists, and hash tables).
- Experience working with databases (SQL, Elasticsearch, MongoDB) and handling data through pipelines, ETL processes, and various file formats.
- Extensive experience with Git source code control, including advanced operations like rebasing and squashing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Ability to work with Linux environments and shell programming.
- Working knowledge of Python and pip, along with experience using numerical and data science libraries (e.g., Keras, NumPy) to support machine learning implementation.
- Knowledge of AWS or comparable cloud platforms, including cloud-agnostic architectures and services.
- Knowledge of Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) or other medical terminologies.
