About the Role

The Restaurant Server within our Merion fine dining restaurant will provide exceptional service to members and guests in a prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable manner to ensure a pleasurable dining experience while maintaining the highest level of professionalism. Compensation includes an hourly rate plus service charge.

Responsibilities

  • Work as directed to support the mission and values of Atlanta Athletic Club (AAC).
  • Greet each member and their guest with a smile and warm welcome.
  • Maintain knowledge of all menu items and beverage offerings.
  • Inform members of daily specials and offer recommendations upon request.
  • Take food and drink orders and accurately enter them in the POS system.
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure that each request is fulfilled in a timely manner.
  • Keep the dining room clean and organized throughout the shift.
  • Promote an attitude of teamwork by assisting other team members on the floor and with side work.
  • Become an expert using the Jonas POS system.
  • Follow and adhere to the AAC standard of tableside service.
  • Fulfill both opening and closing side work on each shift.
  • Assist in other departments/club functions to help the club as needed, including Special Events.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age and able to obtain an alcohol pouring permit from the City of Johns Creek.
  • Prior fine-dining serving experience preferred; however, we are willing to train the right candidate.
  • Friendly, people-oriented individual with a strong commitment to delivering an exceptional member experience.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be available to work Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights.
  • Capable of standing for extended periods and carrying heavy trays.

Skills

  • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to build and maintain positive, collaborative working relationships with team members.

  • Holiday rate of 1.5 times normal pay for working on New Year's Day, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
