Mergers & Acquisitions Associate Intern

About the role

The Mergers & Acquisitions Associate will support Empower Aesthetics' add-on growth strategy, focusing on acquiring and integrating medical aesthetics practices.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution of add-on acquisitions
• Cook up and coordinate with sellers to advance deals through the pipeline
• Lead and perform deal-related analysis, including financial modeling and due diligence review
• Cook up financial due diligence and assist the executive team in deal structuring and negotiations for add-ons; work with legal counsel and lenders as required
• Generate scorecards evaluating add-on opportunities and summarize the information to the executive team
• Develop in-depth acquisition memorandums and present investment rationale to senior management
• Aid in tracking and reporting on our robust pipeline of add-on targets
• Collaborate closely with the executive management team in creating presentation materials for weekly investment committee meetings and quarterly meetings with our Board of Directors

Requirements

• Strong financial modeling skills
• Organizational skills; must be able to manage and prioritize multiple business objectives and projects with the proper sense of urgency
• Effective written, verbal, and electronic communication that is professional in both content and delivery
• Desire to learn and execute entire deal process from initial screening to transaction close
• Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Ability to work in an autonomous, fast-paced environment
• Occasional travel as needed
