Role Overview

The Medical Director of Anesthesia is responsible for serving as the primary liaison between NorthStar, hospital administration and anesthesia staff. This person is responsible for assuring the ongoing development and implementation of policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of medical staff services at his/her facility. The Medical Director will be responsible for the medical leadership, clinical oversight and patient care for the anesthesia department.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between NorthStar, hospital administration and anesthesia staff.
• Assure the ongoing development and implementation of policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of medical staff services at his/her facility.
• Ensure the medical leadership, clinical oversight and patient care for the anesthesia department.
• Manage cases including Cardiac, Vascular, Kidney Transplants, GI, General, OB/GYN, Neuro, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, Plastics, Podiatry, Urology, Pediatrics. High-risk OB, Level 3 Neonatal ICU & Trauma Care Team Model.

We are also the region’s only Burn Care and Reconstructive Center.
