Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate and effective care and treatments to our residents.
• Work with a team of professionals to ensure the residents' comprehensive needs are met.
• Review routines, calendar of events, and resident needs.
• Ensure medications and supplies are ordered, in stock, and counted.
• Ensure all charting and record keeping is accurate and complete.
• Attend meetings and trainings.
• Give a thorough report to the oncoming shift and update the 24-hour report.
• Calendar appropriately for upcoming needs.
• Promote the Mission, Vision, and Values of Transforming Age, our Culture of Excellence, in all areas of responsibility.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Cleared Criminal Record clearance through the Department of Social Services prior to presence in the community.
• Health screening and TB test results not older than 6 months.
• Current First Aid Training and Certifications, per Title 22 guidelines.
• A current nursing license issued by the State of California is required.
• Minimum of six months in long-term care, home care, or related field.
• Demonstrated competence in technical and manual skills according to the scope of practice for RN's/LVN's.
• Working knowledge of computers and typing, sufficient enough to be successful with computerized Point of Care and other systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of the aging process and implications of aging in a social setting.
• Ability to communicate professionally with residents, families, peers, and employees in a multi-cultural environment.
• Completion of a background check, drug screen, physical, fingerprint, and TB test may be required per state and local guidelines (Title 22).

Physical Requirements

• On occasion, may need to push/pull/support up to 75 lbs.

Pay

$35 to $38 per hour
