About the role

The Clinical Director (Principal Scientist) is responsible for planning and directing clinical research activities for new or marketed medicines in the Oncology therapeutic area, specifically within the Hematology Section. Merck’s Oncology portfolio spans all phases of clinical development, from pre-clinical to post-licensure.

The Clinical Director may oversee the entire clinical development cycle for assigned studies, including study design, initiation, and execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and direction of clinical research for Oncology medicines, with a focus on Hematology.
• Manage the full clinical development cycle, including study design, initiation, and ongoing execution.
