Merchandising Manager (Entry-Level Professional)
Overview
The Merchandising Manager is an entry-level position designed for individuals eager to begin a long-term career with 84 Lumber. In this role, you’ll gain exposure to our company culture & operations, contribute to a variety of projects, and build a strong foundation for future advancement. We strongly promote from within, and this position offers excellent potential for career growth. As a Merchandising Manager, you may work across multiple departments, such as Merchandising, Sign Shop, Logo Shop, Travel, Fitness Center, & Nemacolin Resort. You may also be assigned to special projects that broaden your experience and skill set. This is a full-time, Monday–Friday role (7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.) with a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
Responsibilities
- Maximize customer interest and sales levels by displaying products appropriately
- Physically implement layout plans for stores
- Build constructive relationships and teams with channel partners
- Remain up-to-date with industry’s best practices
- Maintain budgets
- Prepare informative presentations for senior managers
- Occasionally support the operations at the Sign Shop, Logo Shop, and 84 Fitness
Qualifications
- Highly creative with the ability to devise ideas that engage, inform, and motivate
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Strong listening, presentation, and decision making skills
- Able to cope and adapt to pressure and deadlines
- The ability to productively work both alone or within a team
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational skills
