Merchandising Lead
for sections: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. Only include sections that have real specific content. We need to parse the posting. The posting includes: - Position Summary... What you'll do... (the long paragraph describing duties). This is responsibilities. - Then later: "At Sam's Club, we offer competitive pay as well as performance-based bonus awards and other great benefits..." includes benefits description. - Then: "The hourly wage range for this position is $21.00 to $29.00* ..." includes pay. - Minimum Qualifications... includes: Must be 18 years of age or older. 6 months retail experience AND 6 months customer service experience. - Preferred Qualifications... includes: Leading a team, Supervising experience to include hiring, evaluating, mentoring, developing, and managing the workload of others - Primary Location... (maybe we can fold into a short
or drop it). The instruction: do NOT put Job ID / requisition numbers as headings — fold minor metadata into a short
or drop it. So location can be a short paragraph maybe under a generic "About the role"? But we have no explicit "About the role" heading content. The "Position Summary... What you'll do..." could be considered About the role. We can put that under
About the role
with asummarizing? But we must preserve ALL substantive information; do NOT invent or summarize away detail. So we cannot summarize; we need to keep the exact text? The instruction: "Preserve ALL substantive information; do NOT invent or summarize away detail." Means we should keep the content as is, not summarizing. So we can put the whole block under a heading, but we must not summarize. So we can put the responsibilities text as is under
Responsibilities
maybe. The "Position Summary... What you'll do..." is basically responsibilities. So we can use that as Responsibilities. We also have benefits and pay sections. We have Minimum Qualifications and Preferred Qualifications; these could go under Requirements or Qualifications. The instruction: Use headings for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). So we need to decide which headings to use. We have content for: - Responsibilities: the long paragraph describing duties. - Benefits: the paragraph about benefits. - Pay: the paragraph about hourly wage range and premiums. - Requirements/Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications and Preferred Qualifications. We might combine Minimum and Preferred under a singleQualifications
with two sub-sections? But we cannot invent headings not allowed? We can useQualifications
and inside havefor Minimum Qualifications and another
for Preferred Qualifications. That's okay. We also might have Skills? Not explicitly listed. Could infer from responsibilities but we shouldn't invent. So omit Skills. Schedule? Not mentioned. Omit. About the role? Could we treat the Position Summary as About the role? But we already used Responsibilities. The instruction says we can use About the role heading if we have content. The Position Summary... What you'll do... is basically a summary of role. Could be About the role. But we also have responsibilities detailed. Might be duplication. Better to use About the role for a brief summary, but we must preserve all substantive information; we cannot summarize. If we put the whole block under About the role, we lose the distinction of responsibilities but it's still all content. However we also need to capture responsibilities; we could put the same block under About the role and not have a separate Responsibilities heading. That would be okay as long as we keep all info. But we need to decide which heading to use. The instruction: "Prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones." So maybe combine About the role and Responsibilities into one section? But we need headings for each section we include. Could have About the role containing the summary, and Responsibilities containing the detailed list? But the detailed list is essentially the same as the summary; it's not a list but a paragraph. The posting does not have bullet list; it's a long sentence. So we could just have one section: Responsibilities (or About the role) containing the paragraph. We also have benefits and pay. We also have qualifications. Thus we could have sections: About the role (or Responsibilities), Qualifications, Benefits, Pay. We need to decide which heading to use for the role summary. The Position Summary... What you'll do... is like an overview. Could be About the role. Let's use About the role. Thus:

We could also include Primary Location as a short paragraph maybe under About the role? But we already have a big block; we could add anotherfor location. The instruction: fold minor metadata into a short
or drop it. So we can add a
for location after the About the role block, maybe before Qualifications. Thus:

We should not include Schedule section as not present. We should not include Skills. We should not include About the role if we think it's duplicate with Responsibilities but we already used About the role. It's okay. Check for any boilerplate: The posting includes "Walmart and its subsidiaries are committed to maintaining a drug-free workplace..." that's boilerplate EEO etc. We must
