Your Mission & Responsibilities Ahead Of You As a Merchandising Intern, you will support the North America Merchandising Manager across a wide range of activities, gaining valuable exposure to assortment planning, inventory management, product analysis, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration. This internship is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a strong understanding of merchandising within an international fashion business. You will work closely with our Merchandising Manager while supporting both seasonal and in-season merchandising activities, helping to ensure the right products are available in the right stores at the right time. A key part of the internship will be supporting our inventory management and replenishment process, and we are therefore looking for someone who is available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings. Merchandising Support Assist the Merchandising Manager with seasonal assortment planning and buying preparation.Prepare merchandising tools and reports, including line sheets, price lists, and assortment files.Support product selection, assortment planning, and seasonal product launches.Help prepare presentations and materials for internal meetings and seasonal reviews. Inventory Management Support the replenishment process across North America, including replenishment activities three mornings per week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday).Assist with inventory allocation, stock balancing, and replenishment across stores.Perform transfer and consolidation analyses to optimize inventory across the retail network.Monitor inventory levels and support actions to maximize product availability and sell-through. Analysis & Reporting Support weekly, monthly, and seasonal reporting on product performance and sales.Assist with sell-through, inventory, and assortment analysis.Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and benchmark the competitive landscape.Gather and organize product feedback from stores and cross-functional partners.Help identify trends and opportunities through data analysis. Cross-Functional Collaboration Support communication between Merchandising and cross-functional teams including Buying, Retail, Planning, Marketing, and Operations.Assist in preparing product information and launch materials for internal stakeholders.Support ad hoc merchandising projects and process improvements as needed. Must Have Requirements Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, Fashion Management, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.Must be eligible to receive academic credit through your university. This internship is unpaid and must be completed as part of your academic studies.Strong analytical skills with an interest in product, retail, and merchandising.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, etc.Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.Curious, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.Fluent in English. WHAT ELSE? This is an unpaid internship based in our New York City office. The internship must be completed as part of your academic studies, and applicants must be able to receive academic credit through their university.
