About the role

The Sales Trainee/Merchandiser position is responsible for effectively managing an established sales territory, encompassing selling, servicing, merchandising, administration, and accounts receivable tasks. This role is designed to provide comprehensive training to new personnel, preparing them to eventually manage their own sales territory.

The Merchandiser supports, services, and maintains accounts by stocking shelves, coolers, and building displays. This position requires a flexible work schedule to accommodate business needs.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales objectives and execute territory management strategies
• Promote current and new products and implement promotions
• Conduct in-store tastings and service accounts
• Merchandise shelves with strategic shelf placement
• Serve accounts on a regular schedule
• Maintain cold boxes and build displays
• Stock inventories across accounts

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Must have reliable transportation and proof of insurance
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to pass pre-employment background check
• Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs
• Local candidates preferred; no relocation package offered
