About the role

The Retail Sales Services department supports, supervises, coaches, leads, motivates and trains full-time and part-time Merchandisers for Hawaii Coffee Company. The Mechandiser Supervisor directs, administers, and coordinates day-to-day activities to achieve company goals and ensure merchandising standards.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain customer rapport by providing outstanding customer service.
  • Maintain and enforce departmental and company policies and procedures.
  • Train and develop team with new and existing programs.
  • Set performance goals and deadlines.
  • Provide administrative assistance for department.
  • Ensure employee understanding of organized workflow and duties.
  • Share communications between team and management.
  • Create and maintain reports to monitor department activities.
  • Reassign routes as needed to ensure proper coverage to retail accounts.
  • Ensure integrity of displays in all assigned account locations.
  • Ensure shelf compliance in all assigned account locations.
  • Conduct periodic route inspections to ensure standards of merchandising and schematic compliance.
  • Correctly and promptly follow specified company procedures required for emergency responses and safety practices.
  • Aid in hiring and training of Sales/Service Associates.
  • Aid in annual evaluations of Sales/Service Associates.
  • Ensure adherence to legal and company policies and procedures and undertake disciplinary actions if necessary.
  • Monitor team productivity.
  • Maintain timekeeping and personnel records.
  • Aid in resets at retail and military accounts.
  • Maintain weekly department schedules for Part Time Merchandisers.
  • Maintain monthly department schedules for Full Time Merchandisers.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years Retail business, preferably in a management role.
  • Highly organized and analytical.
  • Strong oral and written skills.
  • Valid Hawaii state driver's license, personal vehicle, and auto insurance required.
  • Must be able to pass military background clearance for service to military accounts on military bases.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Well-developed verbal and written English communication skills.
