MERCHANDISER - ROUTE DRIVER (FULL TIME)

About the role

Canteen is hiring immediate full-time MERCHANDISER - ROUTE DRIVER positions. Location: Canteen - 2305 Daniels Street, Madison, WI 53718. Online applications only. Schedule: Full time, Monday through Friday, 4:00 am start time. Responsibilities

• Prior to each day’s route, ensure truck is properly loaded with all required products following outlined operational procedures.
• Maintain proper inventory levels and distribute products to vending machines.
• Load hand carts with totes of product, walk to machines, and load them. Return to truck with empty totes.
• Perform product rotation to ensure freshness at designated client locations.
• Provide client and customer satisfaction in every aspect of job performance.
• Conduct routine cleaning and sanitation of vending machines and related equipment.
• Conduct minor service and adjustments on machines when necessary.
• Report defective equipment to maintenance repair service operators or technician dispatchers.
• Enter accurate machine product and inventory data via a handheld computer.
• Inform clients and customers about new products or services.
• Listen to and resolve service complaints; report all to immediate supervisor.
• Set up merchandise and sales promotion displays or issue sales promotion materials to customers.
• Accountable for all receipt of goods, invoices, delivery tickets, cash received or collected, and product.
• Conduct inventory reconciliation in accordance with established procedures.
• Keep company vehicle clean and organized at all times; perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 3 years driving experience required.
• Valid driver's license, ensuring safe operation of company vehicles in accordance with traffic laws and conditions.
• Preferred 1-2 years’ experience in a customer service position, or a minimum of 1 year of related experience.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a consistent basis.
