Merchandiser - PT
Location: Pooler, GA (31322 and surrounding areas) – on-site position servicing product in multiple stores with travel between them. Part-time, non-exempt role reporting to the Supervisor of Merchandising.
About the Role
This position involves 100% merchandising work within retail environments, ensuring products are merchandised according to store and corporate standards. Responsibilities include replenishing product, assembling shelves/racks/display cases, and servicing assigned stores as scheduled. Travel is expected up to 100% of the time to cover the territory.
Responsibilities
- Merchandise products in retail environments following store and corporate standards.
- Safely and efficiently replenish product, assemble shelves/racks, and set up display cases.
- Service all assigned stores as scheduled within allotted hours; seek approval for overtime or deviations.
- Accurately record work hours and company-related information using designated applications (e.g., Movista).
- Communicate regularly with Supervisor and seek prior approval for duties outside assigned tasks.
- Follow planograms (POGs), flowcharts, and other merchandising guidelines.
- Develop relationships with store personnel.
- Handle product correctly, including returns.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- General merchandising experience preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Able to multitask and detail-oriented.
- Professional conduct and adherence to company attendance policy.
- Reliable transportation for travel (up to 100% of the time).
- Personal cell phone and mobile device (e.g., tablet) for work applications.
- Proficient with Word, internet, and email applications.
- Employment contingent on passing a background check, 4-panel drug test (THC not included), and MVR clearance.
Physical & Environmental Requirements
- Physical:
- Frequently: Bend, squat, stand, walk, push/pull, handle objects, use fine finger movements, kneel.
- Occasionally: Sit, reach above shoulder level.
- Not at all: Crawl, climb.
- Mental:
- Frequently: Read/comprehend, write, perform calculations, communicate orally, reason/analyze.
- Environmental:
- No exposure to excessive noise, moving machinery, temperature/humidity changes, dust, fumes, gases, radiation, or confined spaces.
- Does not operate motorized equipment.
- Lifting:
- Frequently: Light (up to 25 lbs.) and moderate (25-50 lbs.) loads.
- Occasionally: Heavy (over 50 lbs.) loads.
Pay
Competitive wage of $15/hour, including paid travel time between accounts. Retention and/or referral bonuses available after 3 months (eligibility details in program guidelines).
Schedule
Assigned stores are serviced on designated weekdays according to an established schedule. Overtime requires prior approval from the Supervisor.
