Merchandiser - PT
On-site position servicing product in multiple stores with travel between them. Location: Mobile, AL (36609 and surrounding areas).
About the Role
Part-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Supervisor of Merchandising. This role involves 100% merchandising work within a retail environment, servicing assigned stores on designated weekdays according to an established schedule. Travel is expected up to 100% of the time to cover the territory.
Responsibilities
- Merchandise products by applying appropriate store and/or corporate standards.
- Safely and efficiently replenish product; may assemble shelves/racks and display cases following measurement guidelines.
- Service all stores as scheduled within the allotted hours provided by the Supervisor.
- Seek prior approval from Supervisor before working outside of scheduled hours or more than 10 hours in a workday (overtime).
- Accurately record work hours and other company-related information using designated applications (e.g., Movista).
- Discuss duties requested by store personnel not listed herein with Supervisor before performing those duties.
- Follow planograms (POGs), flowcharts, and other merchandising guidelines.
- Maintain regular communication with Supervisor and develop relationships with store personnel.
- Handle all product correctly, including returns.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- General merchandising experience preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Able to multitask and detail-oriented.
- Conduct self in a professional manner and adhere to the company’s attendance policy.
- Reliable transportation for travel between stores (travel time is paid).
- Personal cell phone and mobile device (e.g., tablet) required.
- Proficient with Word, the internet, and email applications.
- Employment contingent on background check, 4-panel drug test (does not include THC), and MVR clearance.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently (F): Bend, squat, stand, walk, kneel, push/pull, handle objects (manual dexterity), use fine finger movements, read/comprehend, write, perform calculations, communicate orally, reason and analyze.
- Occasionally (O): Sit, reach above shoulder level, lift/move moderate (25-50 lbs.) and heavy (over 50 lbs.) loads.
- Not Required (N): Crawl, climb, exposure to excessive noise, moving machinery, marked changes in temperature/humidity, dust, fumes, gases, radiation, microwave, drive motorized equipment, work in confined quarters.
Pay
Competitive wage of $15/hour, including paid travel time between accounts.
Schedule
Assigned stores are serviced on designated weekdays according to an established schedule.
