Merchandiser - PT
About the role
On-site position servicing product in multiple stores with travel between them. Reports to the Supervisor of Merchandising. No direct reports.
Responsibilities
- Work within retail environments to merchandise products according to store and/or corporate standards
- Safely and efficiently replenish product; may assemble shelves/racks and display cases following measurement guidelines
- Service all assigned stores as scheduled within allotted hours provided by Supervisor
- Seek prior approval from Supervisor before working outside of scheduled hours
- Contact Supervisor before working more than 10 hours in a workday or overtime
- Accurately record work hours and other company-related information using designated applications
- Discuss duties requested by store personnel not listed herein with Supervisor before performing those duties
- Handle all product correctly, including returns
- Follow planograms (POGs), flowcharts, etc.
- Regular communication with Supervisor
- Develop relationships with store personnel
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- General merchandising experience preferred but not required
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and detail-oriented
- Conduct self in a professional manner
- Adherence to the company’s attendance policy
- Reliable transportation for travel
- Ability to use Movista and/or other company-required applications
- Personal cell phone and mobile device such as a tablet
- Proficient with Word, the internet, and email applications
- Employment contingent on background check, 4-panel drug test (does not include THC), and MVR clearance
Physical Requirements
- Frequently: Bend, stand, walk, kneel, push/pull, handle objects, use fine finger movements
- Occasionally: Sit, reach above shoulder level
- Not at all: Crawl, climb
- Must carry/lift: Light loads (up to 25 lbs.) frequently; moderate loads (25–50 lbs.) occasionally
Mental Requirements
- Frequently: Read/comprehend, write, perform calculations, communicate orally, reason and analyze
Environmental Exposure
- No exposure to excessive noise, moving machinery, marked changes in temperature/humidity, dust, fumes, gases, radiation, microwave
- Does not drive motorized equipment or work in confined quarters
Compensation
Competitive wage $15 per hour, including travel time between accounts. Retention and/or referral bonus available after 3 months; see Program Details for eligibility.
