Merchandiser - PT

On-site position servicing product in multiple stores with travel between them. Location: Smyrna, TN (37167 and surrounding areas). Part-time, non-exempt role reporting to the Supervisor of Merchandising.

Responsibilities

• Work within a retail environment to effectively merchandise products by applying appropriate store and/or corporate standards.
• Safely and efficiently replenish product; may assemble shelves/racks and display cases following measurement guidelines.
• Service all assigned stores as scheduled within the allotted hours provided by the Supervisor.
• Seek prior approval from Supervisor before working outside of scheduled hours or more than 10 hours in a workday/overtime.
• Accurately record work hours and other company-related information using designated applications (e.g., Movista).
• Discuss duties requested by store personnel not listed herein with Supervisor before performing those duties.
• Follow planograms (POGs), flowcharts, and other merchandising guidelines.
• Maintain regular communication with Supervisor and develop relationships with store personnel.
• Handle all product correctly, including returns.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• General merchandising experience preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Able to multitask and detail-oriented.
• Conduct self in a professional manner and adhere to the company’s attendance policy.
• Reliable transportation for travel (expected up to 100% of the time).
• Personal cell phone and mobile device (e.g., tablet) required.
• Proficient with Word, the internet, and email applications.
• Employment contingent on background check, 4-panel drug test (does not include THC), and MVR clearance.

Physical Requirements

Physical: Frequently bend, squat, stand, walk, push/pull, handle objects, and use fine finger movements. Occasionally sit, reach above shoulder level, and lift moderate (25-50 lbs.) to heavy (over 50 lbs.) loads.

Mental: Frequently read/comprehend, write, perform calculations, communicate orally, and reason/analyze.

Environmental: No exposure to excessive noise, moving machinery, temperature/humidity changes, dust, fumes, gases, radiation, or confined quarters. Does not drive motorized equipment.

Pay

Competitive wage of $15/hour, including paid travel time between accounts. Retention and/or referral bonuses available after 3 months (eligibility details apply).

Schedule

Assigned stores serviced on designated weekdays according to an established schedule. Travel expected up to 100% of the time to cover territory.
