Merchandiser - PT
Part-time, non-exempt on-site position servicing product in multiple stores within the 30165 zip code and surrounding areas. Travel expected up to 100% of the time to cover territory.
About the Role
Work within a retail environment to effectively merchandise products by applying appropriate store and/or corporate standards. Safely and efficiently replenish product, assemble shelves/racks, and display cases following measurement guidelines. Service all assigned stores as scheduled within the allotted hours provided by the Supervisor of Merchandising.
Responsibilities
- Merchandise products according to store and corporate standards.
- Replenish product safely and efficiently.
- Assemble shelves, racks, and display cases as needed.
- Service all stores as scheduled within provided hours.
- Seek prior approval from Supervisor before working outside of scheduled hours or more than 10 hours in a workday.
- Accurately record work hours and company-related information using designated applications.
- Consult Supervisor before performing duties requested by store personnel not listed in the job description.
- Follow planograms (POGs), flowcharts, and other merchandising guidelines.
- Maintain regular communication with Supervisor.
- Develop relationships with store personnel.
- Handle product correctly, including returns.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- General merchandising experience preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Able to multitask and detail-oriented.
- Conduct self in a professional manner.
- Adherence to the company’s attendance policy.
- Reliable transportation for travel.
- Able to use Movista and/or other company-required applications.
- Personal cell phone and mobile device (e.g., tablet).
- Proficient with Word, the internet, and email applications.
- Employment contingent on background check, 4-panel drug test (does not include THC), and MVR clearance.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently: Bend, squat, stand, walk, kneel, push/pull, handle objects (manual dexterity), use fine finger movements, read/comprehend, write, perform calculations, communicate orally, reason and analyze, lift/move light (up to 25 lbs.) and moderate (25-50 lbs.) loads.
- Occasionally: Sit, reach above shoulder level, lift/move heavy (over 50 lbs.) loads.
- Not at all: Crawl, climb, exposure to excessive noise, moving machinery, marked changes in temperature/humidity, dust, fumes, gases, radiation, microwaves, drive motorized equipment, work in confined quarters.
Pay
Competitive wage of $15 per hour, including paid travel time between accounts. Retention and/or referral bonus after 3 months (eligibility details available in program guidelines).
Schedule
Assigned stores are serviced on designated weekdays according to an established schedule. Travel expected up to 100% of the time.
