Merchandiser (Part-Time)

Reports To: Sales Execution Supervisor, Sales Supervisor, or Sales Manager

Travel Required: Daily, local travel to assigned customers

As a Merchandiser, you will be responsible for stocking shelf merchandise and building displays in retail stores, proudly representing the Community Coffee brand every day.

Responsibilities

• Represent Community Coffee brand in assigned market, ensuring stores have optimal product stocked and arranged to company and retail store standards.
• Provide exceptional customer service at all times.
• Drive personal or company vehicle to retail grocery stores, as assigned, to stock and reset product sections.
• Unload product from pallet onto dolly or cart to transport from storage area to aisle/shelf.
• Receive, open and unpack cases of merchandise and stock displays with new or transferred merchandise.
• Handle and record damaged and/or returned product according to company and/or store requirements.
• Set up shelf tags and point‑of‑sale signage and display merchandise on shelves.
• Build product displays to attract customers and promote sales, rotate product on shelves according to company specifications, supporting overall planogram strategy.
• Clean display shelves as needed.
• Communicate customer issues with sales and warehouse teams.
• Build relationships with managers and associates at store level.
• If assigned a company vehicle, clean vehicle and perform routine maintenance (washing, checking fluids, oil and tire pressure) according to established company standards.
• Perform different or additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required (or passing score on aptitude test in lieu of diploma).
• One or more years previous merchandising experience in a sales, grocery or retail environment preferred.
• Experience with Community Coffee may satisfy experience requirement at hiring manager’s discretion.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Successful completion of pre‑employment physical.

Physical Demands

• Regularly use hands to handle, feel, reach; frequently stand, walk, climb, balance; regularly stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl.
• Regularly get in and out of a vehicle.
• Frequent lifting of up to 40 pounds; occasional pushing or pulling up to 100 pounds using a rolling pallet.
• Vision requirements: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Occasional work near moving mechanical parts, in high places, outside weather conditions, and exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
• Noise level usually moderate, may be louder in warehouse areas.
