Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily wheat origination, procurement, and pipeline logistics to ensure consistent supply to the mill.
- Develop and maintain the weekly flour delivery schedule, ensuring efficient coordination with production, logistics, and customer service teams.
- Communicate with customers on delivery changes and special requirements, ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment.
- Work with carriers to schedule and track shipments, resolving any transportation or delivery issues.
- Monitor grain markets, basis levels, and freight trends to identify local buying opportunities and manage position exposure.
- Cook up and maintain relationships with producers, elevators, carriers, and customers to support long-term supply chain reliability.
- Analyze supply and demand trends, storage capacity, and transportation constraints to optimize inventory and logistics performance.
- Support inventory management by monitoring both raw material and finished product levels to ensure alignment with production plans.
- Provide operational and commercial reporting, including position summaries, contract balances, delivery performance, and cost metrics.
- Act as a liaison between commercial, operations, and logistics teams to ensure alignment on production and delivery plans.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness, Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
- 2–4 years of merchandising, grain origination, or commodity logistics experience.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with ERP systems, commodity trading tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Able to make decisions and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong collaboration skills across commercial, operations, and logistics functions.
