Merchandiser I (Las Cruces, NM)

About the role

Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits is seeking a Merchandiser I to perform merchandising activities, construct displays, and stock SGWS products in retail accounts in the Las Cruces, NM area. The role involves installing promotional point‑of‑sale materials, maintaining product displays, and building positive relationships with retail customers.

Responsibilities

• Build displays and update pricing and special offers within an assigned territory.
• Maintain positive relationships with retail customers.
• Ensure all company products are properly displayed.
• Install point‑of‑sale materials as directed.
• Stock products on shelves, displays, and cold boxes as necessary.
• Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience.
• Must possess a reliable vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain and maintain auto liability insurance in compliance with SGWS requirements.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Physical Demands

• Extended periods of sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer or mobile device.
• Walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping.
• Ability to lift, lower, push, carry, or pull up to 48 lb.
• Safety‑sensitive position; conditional offers require a drug test.

Pay

• Hourly rate: $18 per hour (average rate for this position).
• Auto reimbursement.
• New‑hire sign‑on bonus: $1,000 after 90 days.

Schedule

• Work week can vary between Monday – Saturday (40 hr work week).
• Daily driving of own vehicle in Las Cruces and surrounding areas of NM; mileage reimbursed via MOTUS.
