Merchandiser Full Time

Responsibilities

• Unload product from freight.
• Tag, fold, hang and price merchandise to be put out on the sales floor or in back stock.
• Restock merchandise on sales floor and bring product to the floor for display.
• Absorb customers and sales associates with retrieving and loading purchased product.
• Maintain orderly appearance of personal work space and surrounding areas.
• General cleaning and organization around the store and back stock areas.
• Add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
• Read and comprehend instructions and write short correspondence.
• Present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other associates of the organization.
• Be organized, multi-task and maintain all aspects of the Merchandising role.
• Exercise judgment and tact and be able to effectively work with all levels within the organization.
• Show strong oral/written communication and presentation skills to communicate effectively and in a timely manner.
• Demonstrate attention to detail.
• Be professional in appearance and attitude, contribute to a positive team atmosphere, and treat others with respect and consideration while following Scheels’ policies and procedures.
• Willing to do other tasks as assigned by the leadership team and Merchandiser Leads.
• Work assigned schedule; may include varied hours, evenings and occasional weekends.

Heavy work – Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Qualifications

• Education & Experience: Ideal candidate will have a minimum of a High School diploma, or General Education Degree (GED), one to three months of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay

Compensation for this position starts at $16 per hour.

Schedule

Must be flexible to work assigned schedule between 8am-4:30pm Monday through Friday with a set day off during the week and every other weekend. Average hours per week is 40 hours.
