Merchandiser/Cashier

About the role

Greet customers on the sales floor, assisting them in locating merchandise or directing them to a parts specialist if necessary. Check out customers quickly and courteously, handle returns efficiently, and assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, and overstock returns.

Responsibilities

• Direct customers to merchandise or parts specialists as needed.
• Check in, price, and put up stock.
• Keep merchandise displayed and updated according to planograms and company guidelines.
• Make display changes and ensure all "sale" signs are in place.
• Assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, and overstock returns.
• Work with the manager to complete the store's To Do List and Team Weekly tasks.
• Act as the main shoplifting deterrent and front floor security.
• Assist with O'Reilly Image Maker responsibilities.
• Clock in/out according to company policy.
• Handle customer returns and cash transactions in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Assist with checkouts in the express lane when necessary.

Requirements

• Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.
• Good aptitude for dealing with number sequences, interpersonal communication, and organizational skills.
• Previous cashier and/or stocking experience preferred.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
• Fluency in multiple languages, particularly Spanish, is highly desired.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.

Skills

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Knowledge of retail operations and procedures.
