Merchandiser/Cashier

Responsibilities

• Greet customers on the sales floor, assist them in locating merchandise, or direct them to a parts specialist for hard parts.
• Check out customers purchasing front floor merchandise in a quick and friendly manner.
• Handle merchandise returns from customers efficiently and courteously.
• Assist with completing sales tickets, processing payments (cash, checks, credit cards), and managing the express lane when needed.
• Stock merchandise according to planograms, displays, and company guidelines.
• Maintain front area stock: keep displays fronted, full, clean, and properly priced on a daily basis.
• Update displays and pricing according to company guidelines, including sale signs and promotional materials.
• Remove sale materials and restore original pricing after sales end.
• Assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, overstock returns, and inventory tasks.
• Work with the manager to complete the store To-Do List and Team Weekly tasks.
• Act as a shoplifting deterrent and provide front floor security.
• Assist with O’Reilly Image Maker responsibilities.
• Clock in and out according to company policy.

Requirements

• Good aptitude for dealing with number sequences.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• Desired: Previous cashier and/or stocking experience.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
• Bilingual candidates encouraged; fluency in Spanish is highly desired.
