Merchandiser/Cashier

Responsibilities

• Greet customers on the sales floor, assist them in locating merchandise, or direct them to a parts specialist for hard parts.
• Check out customers purchasing front-floor merchandise in a quick and friendly manner.
• Handle merchandise returns from customers efficiently and courteously.
• Assist with deterring shoplifting and maintaining front-floor security.
• Keep the front area stocked, fronted, and clean on a daily basis.
• Stock merchandise according to planograms, displays, or company guidelines.
• Make display changes, including out-front price changes and sale signage updates.
• Maintain sufficient quantities of sale merchandise and remove sale materials when promotions end.
• Assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, overstock returns, and completing store tasks as assigned.
• Perform cashier duties, including finishing tickets, processing payments (cash, checks, credit cards), and operating the express lane when needed.
• Support O’Reilly Image Maker responsibilities and clock in/out according to company policy.

Requirements

• Good aptitude for dealing with number sequences.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• Desired: Previous cashier and/or stocking experience.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
