Merchandiser/Cashier

Pay range: $17.13 - $23.50 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation may include annual or quarterly performance bonuses and premiums based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers on the sales floor, assist them in locating merchandise, or direct them to a parts specialist if needed.
• Check out customers and deter shoplifters.
• Keep the front area stocked and fronted; stock merchandise according to planograms or displays.
• Check in, price, and put up stock; maintain clean, full, and fronted merchandise displays daily.
• Make display changes according to company guidelines and planograms; update pricing and sale signs.
• Ensure sale merchandise is sufficiently stocked and remove sale materials when promotions end.
• Assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, overstock returns, and store tasks as directed by management.
• Act as a shoplifting deterrent and assist with front floor security.
• Perform cashier duties: check out customers, handle returns, and assist with transactions when needed.
• Complete O’Reilly Image Maker responsibilities and adhere to company timekeeping policies.

Requirements

• Good aptitude for number sequences and strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• Previous cashier and/or stocking experience is desired.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).
