Merchandiser/Cashier

Responsibilities

• Greet customers on the sales floor, assist them in locating merchandise, or direct them to a parts specialist when needed.
• Check out customers purchasing front floor merchandise in a quick and friendly manner.
• Handle merchandise returns from customers efficiently and courteously.
• Assist with deterring shoplifting and maintaining front floor security.
• Keep the front area stocked, fronted, and clean on a daily basis.
• Stock merchandise according to planograms, displays, or company guidelines.
• Make display changes, including out-front price changes and sale signage updates.
• Maintain sufficient quantities of sale merchandise and ensure sale materials are removed when promotions end.
• Assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, overstock returns, and other inventory tasks.
• Work with the manager to complete store tasks and weekly team responsibilities.
• Assist with O’Reilly Image Maker responsibilities.
• Clock in and out according to company policy.
• When the express lane is not in use and the counter is busy, assist by finishing tickets and processing payments (cash, checks, credit cards).

Requirements

• Good aptitude for dealing with number sequences.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• Desired: Previous cashier and/or stocking experience.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
• Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply; fluency in Spanish is highly desired.
