Merchandiser/Cashier

Responsibilities

• Greet customers on the sales floor, assist them in locating merchandise, or direct them to a parts specialist for hard parts.
• Check out customers purchasing front-floor merchandise in a quick and friendly manner.
• Handle merchandise returns from customers efficiently and courteously.
• Assist with finishing tickets, taking payments (cash, checks, credit cards), and managing express lanes during busy periods.
• Stock merchandise according to planograms, displays, and company guidelines.
• Maintain front area stock: keep displays fronted, full, clean, and properly priced on a daily basis.
• Make display changes, update pricing, and ensure all sale signs and promotional materials are in place.
• Remove sale materials and restore original pricing when sales end.
• Assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, overstock returns, and other inventory tasks.
• Work with the manager to complete store To-Do lists and Team Weekly tasks.
• Act as a shoplifting deterrent and provide front-floor security.
• Assist with O’Reilly Image Maker responsibilities.
• Clock in and out according to company policy.

Requirements

• Good aptitude for dealing with number sequences.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• Previous cashier and/or stocking experience is desired.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
