About the role
Greet customers on the sales floor, assist them in locating merchandise or direct them to parts specialists. Check out customers and deter shoplifters. Keep the front area stocked and fronted, stock merchandise according to planograms or displays, and complete sales preparation.
Responsibilities
- Merchandiser responsibilities:
- Greet customers on the sales floor and assist in locating merchandise or direct them to parts specialists for hard parts.
- Check in, price, and stock merchandise.
- Maintain merchandise on the display floor fronted, full, and clean daily.
- Make display changes according to company guidelines and planograms.
- Update front-facing price changes and ensure all "sale" signs are in place.
- Stock sales flyer racks and maintain sufficient quantities of sale merchandise.
- Remove sale materials when promotions end and restore original pricing.
- Assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, and overstock returns.
- Work with management to complete store To Do List and Team Weekly tasks.
- Act as the primary shoplifting deterrent and front-floor security.
- Assist with O’Reilly Image Maker responsibilities.
- Clock in and out according to company policy.
- Cashier responsibilities:
- Check out customers purchasing front-floor merchandise in a quick and friendly manner.
- Handle merchandise returns in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Assist customers by finishing tickets, handling payments, and processing transactions when express lanes are not in use and the counter is busy.
Requirements
- Good aptitude for dealing with number sequences.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good organizational skills.
- Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
- Fluency in multiple languages; Spanish is highly desired.
- Desired: Previous cashier and/or stocking experience.

Pay
Compensation pay range: $18.42 – $25.05 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation may include annual, quarterly performance, or premiums ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
