Merchandiser/Cashier

Responsibilities

• Greet customers on the sales floor, assist them in locating merchandise, or direct them to a parts specialist for hard parts.
• Check out customers purchasing front floor merchandise in a quick and friendly manner.
• Handle merchandise returns from customers efficiently and courteously.
• Assist with finishing tickets, taking payments (cash, checks, credit cards), and managing the express lane when needed.
• Check in, price, and stock merchandise according to company guidelines, planograms, or displays.
• Maintain fronted, full, and clean merchandise displays daily.
• Update displays and pricing changes as directed by company guidelines.
• Ensure all sale signs are in place, sales flyer racks are stocked, and sufficient sale merchandise is on display.
• Remove sale materials and restore original pricing when sales end.
• Assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, and overstock returns.
• Work with the manager to complete the store To-Do List and Team Weekly tasks.
• Act as a shoplifting deterrent and provide front floor security.
• Assist with O’Reilly Image Maker responsibilities.
• Clock in and out according to company policy.

Requirements

• Good aptitude for dealing with number sequences.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• Previous cashier and/or stocking experience is desired.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).
